Splash is based on Shanan Campanaro’s beautifully abstract watercolor paintings inspired by time spent beside the pools at Le Petit Ermitage in Los Angeles and her parents’ San Diego home. The imagery and palette draw upon the magical effects of sunlight on surface ripples, morphing floor shadows, and the coloration of stone, water, and tile.
